His Grace Bishop Joanikije of Budimlje-Niksic served on Tuesday, August 9 on the feast day of St. Pantaleon the Great martyr and St. Climent of Ohrid, the Hierarchal Divine Liturgy in the church devoted to this Saint in the monastery of Samograd near Bijelo Polje.
In the Liturgy, during which lots of faithful people of this municipality of Bijelo Polje participated, protosbyter-staurophor Miras Bogavac, protopresbyter Darko Pejic and presbyter Sinisa Jankovic concelebrated.
His Holiness Irinej, Serbian Patriarch served on Sunday, August 14 2011 the Holy Hierarchal Liturgy in the Vavedenje Monastery beginning at 9 a.m.
Today at the premises of the Federation of Jewish Communities in Belgrade the press conference was held where the representatives of the traditional Churches and religious communities in Serbia pointed at many issues with the restitution of the illegally seized property of the Churches and religious communities in Serbia. On this occasion lots of press representatives were addressed by His Grace Bishop Irinej of Backa, Archbishop of Belgrade Mr. Stanislav Hocevar, President of the Federation of the Jewish Communities Mr. Aleksandar Necak and the lawyer who represents the Churches and religious communities in the process of the restitution Mr. Miroslav Nikolic. On July 30th, another successful season of Camp Gracanica came to an end. The camp opened on July 3rd. The theme of this season was Temples of the Holy Spirit. Along with the usual socializing and entertainment activities,campers attended classes and discussions where we learned that each one of us is a temple of the Holy Spirit and how we ought to live in order to make ourselves worthy of such a blessing and a privilege.
In an uninterrupted continuity our Holy Church for five thousand years prayerfully remembers Saint Angelina of Serbia. Also this year, in front of her holy relics under the arches of the monastery Krusedol numerous people gathered with their priests and monks to receive her blessing.
