Patriarch Porfirije met with Metropolitan of Thessaloniki kyr Philotheos
His Holiness Serbian Patriarch kyr Porfirije, together with His Eminence Metropolitan of Bačka kyr Irinej, met on 1 May 2025, at the Parish House of the Church of Saint Sava on Vračar, with His Eminence Metropolitan of Thessaloniki kyr Philotheos, who was accompanied by Mr. Alexandros Katsiaras, editor-in-chief of Ecclesia Radio and the journal Theology.
In a fraternal conversation, held in the spirit of Christian love and mutual respect, the interlocutors exchanged views on current issues in the life of the Church, particularly emphasizing the importance of spiritual unity, cooperation, and the witness of Gospel values in contemporary society.
His Holiness Patriarch Porfirije and Metropolitan Philotheos expressed their joy at this meeting and their hope for further strengthening of the relationship between the two sister Local Churches.
