Students of the College of Europe in Natolin visit the Serbian Patriarch

His Holiness Serbian Patriarch kyr Porfirije met on 1 May 2025, at the Parish House of the Church of Saint Sava on Vračar with a group of students from the College of Europe in Natolin – a prestigious academic institution in Warsaw that educates young professionals in the fields of politics, law, economics, and international relations.
 
In a cordial conversation, Patriarch Porfirije introduced the students to the spiritual, cultural, and historical role of the Serbian Orthodox Church in shaping the identity of the Serbian people, as well as to the Church’s mission in contemporary society. He particularly emphasized the importance of advocating for peace, dialogue, and community as fundamental values that the Church seeks to spread.
 
During the remainder of the meeting, the students posed questions on a variety of topics, primarily of a spiritual nature, and His Holiness responded with great care and demonstrated openness in dialogue with young people from diverse cultural and religious backgrounds, encouraging a sincere exchange of ideas.
 
In addition to the Patriarch, the students were also addressed by His Grace Vicar Bishop of Novo Brdo kyr Ilarion, and Deacon Dr. Zdravko Jovanović, Professor at the Faculty of Orthodox Theology in Belgrade.
 
This visit was part of a study tour organized by the College of Europe through Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina, aimed at gaining insights into the region’s political and social dynamics and cultural heritage.
