His Holiness Serbian Patriarch kyr Porfirije met on 18 December 2025 at the Parish House of the Church of Saint Sava in Belgrade with a delegation of the Association of Women War Victims from Republika Srpska, consisting of Mrs. Božica Živković Railić and Mrs. Gordana Botić, authors of the book Our Confession – Women War Victims from Republika Srpska 1992–1995.

In a cordial conversation, the two courageous Serbian mothers conveyed to His Holiness the Patriarch their painful experiences and their aspiration, through this book—which presents authentic testimonies of women civilian war victims from the territory of Republika Srpska—to preserve the truth about the suffering of Serbian civilian victims and to point to the need for justice, given that many crimes against the Serbian people in those areas have remained insufficiently clarified and shrouded in secrecy, and thus without adequate punishment for the perpetrators.

Patriarch Porfirije emphasized that the support of the Serbian Orthodox Church in such efforts is always available and that the realization of truth and justice is of essential importance for our people.

Patriarch Porfirije blessed the work of the Association and supported their efforts aimed at discovering the truth and achieving justice for Serbian victims during the wartime suffering in Bosnia and Herzegovina, stressing the importance of support by state institutions for such projects, as well as the importance of fostering a culture of remembrance in contemporary society.

His Holiness underscored that the Serbian Orthodox Church remains at their disposal for any form of assistance on this and other issues of importance to the Serbian people.
