His Holiness Serbian Patriarch kyr Porfirije today sent a congratulatory message to His Beatitude Metropolitan of Kyiv and All Ukraine kyr Onufriy, in which it is stated:
 
– Today, as the Holy Church prayerfully celebrates the sacred memory of our Venerable and God-bearing Father Onuphrius the Great, brotherly love reminds us of yet another joyful occasion of today’s spiritual celebration – Your name day. Moved by this, We too, from the Throne of Saint Sava and from the sister Serbian Orthodox Church, together with our brethren hierarchs, clergy, monastics, and faithful people, offer fervent prayers to the Lord and our Savior Jesus Christ that He may grant You unto His holy Churches in peace, safety, honor, health, and length of days, and rightly dividing the word of His Truth.
 
– While congratulating You on the feast of Your heavenly patron, We also join Our prayers for the Pleroma of the suffering Ukrainian Orthodox Church, beseeching the Lord, Who is our peace, to calm troubled hearts, heal the wounds of suffering, strengthen the faithful in patience and in bearing witness to the Gospel, and grant that a just and lasting peace may soon prevail, and that brotherly love and mutual understanding may once again shine forth among all. Commending ourselves to Your holy prayers, we cordially greet Your Beatitude with a holy embrace, wishing that You may continue to do all things for the glory of God, for the good of the Holy Church of Christ, and for the salvation of the people entrusted to Your care – the congratulatory message of Serbian Patriarch Porfirije states.
