Immediately upon returning from Kosovo and Metohija, where he presided over the festal services at the Patriarchate of Peć and the Visoki Dečani Monastery, His Holiness Serbian Patriarch kyr Porfirije proceeded to the Church of Saint Sava on Vračar, where he attended the traditional Paschal concert.
 
– Christ is risen! We are blessed this evening and in these days, for the Lord has sheltered all of us with His love. By His Resurrection from the dead, the Lord has made it so that our life has not only hope, but also complete meaning, fullness, beauty, and joy. I congratulate everyone on today’s Feast and pray together with all of you that we may always have joy, that we may have peace, and that with our entire being we may be devoted to the Lord, that we may entrust ourselves to Him, for He, without reserve, gives to us all that He is and all that He has. In that encounter between God’s love and our longing and movement toward Him, the miracle called the Kingdom of God among us is realized. I thank everyone who has magnified today’s Feast with their beautiful voices, their song, and their chanting, and may the Lord repay each of them a hundredfold – said Serbian Patriarch kyr Porfirije, who then distributed Paschal eggs from the Monastery of the Patriarchate of Peć to all the children as a blessing.
 
In the crypt of the covenantal church of the Serbian people, in addition to all four choirs of the Chanting Society of the Church of Saint Sava, performances were also given by the church children’s and youth choir Orlići from Batajnica and the Choir of the Church of the Nativity of the Most Holy Theotokos from Skopje.
