His Holiness Serbian Patriarch kyr Porfirije arrived at the Visoki Dečani Monastery on 6 July 2026 together with Pastor Dr. Mark Burns, spiritual advisor to the President of the United States of America, Mr. Donald Trump.
 
At the gates of the ancient Serbian holy site, His Holiness and the distinguished guest from the United States were welcomed by His Eminence Metropolitan of Raška and Prizren kyr Teodosije and the Very Venerable Archimandrite Sava, Hegumen of the monastery, together with the brotherhood of the holy monastery of Dečani.
 
Following the formal welcome, Patriarch Porfirije and Pastor Burns venerated the relics of Saint King Stefan of Dečani, after which Hegumen Sava acquainted the guests with the rich history of the monastery, which is inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List.
 
Accompanying His Holiness Patriarch Porfirije were His Grace Vicar Bishop of Novo Brdo kyr Ilarion, and the Very Venerable Archimandrite Danilo, Director of the Patriarchal Administrative Office.
