Vuk’s Assembly (Vukov Sabor), the oldest cultural event in Serbia, will celebrate its jubilee, 90 years since its foundation, from 11 to 17 September 2023. A series of events and festivities will follow this ceremony, and the central moment of the Vuk’s Assembly will be the speech by His Holiness Serbian Patriarch Porfirije, on 17 September 2023, at the assembly grounds in Tršić, beginning at 12 o’clock.

The first assembly was held in the yard of Vuk’s renovated and consecrated memorial house od 17 September 1993, and from that day on, the meeting of the Assembly is being held every year in Tršić, on the eve of the Feast of the Nativity of the Most Holy Theotokos. This year, Vuk’s Assembly was awarded the Order of the Presentation, Second Degree, “for the outstanding merits in the field of public and cultural activities during 90 years of existence”, on the occasion of the Statehood Day.
