Patriarch Porfirije served a divine service in the church of Saint Apostle Mark
His Holiness Serbian Patriarch kyr Porfirije served the Holy Hierarchical Liturgy on 2 June 2024, on the Sunday of the Samaritan Woman, in the Church of Saint Apostle and Evangelist Mark on Tašmajdan.
– There is no one who is forever lost if he seeks Christ, if he seeks the Living Water. Sooner or later, the Lord will reveal Himself to him. There is no one to whom He has not revealed Himself; it is only important that our thirst and hunger for Him are true and sincere, and at the same time, that we are ready to live by His laws when He reveals Himself to us – emphasized Patriarch Porfirije, whose entire sermon in Serbian you can read HERE.
Concelebrating with His Holiness the Patriarch there were: Archimandrite Nektarije, Chief Secretary of the Holy Synod and the Dean of the Church of Saint Apostle Mark; Archimandrite Vasilije; Protopresbyter-Stavrophoros Jovan Milanović, Rector of the Theological Seminary in Sremski Karlovci; Protopresbyter Đorđe Stojisavljević, Head of the Office of the Serbian Patriarch; as well as numerous clergy of the Archdiocese of Belgrade-Karlovci.
At the end of the Holy Liturgy, His Holiness Serbian Patriarch kyr Porfirije baptized the children of Priest Vladimir Pekić and Deacon Nikola Gačić.
