Patriarch Porfirije served the Paschal Liturgy at the church of Saint Sava on Vračar.

On the night between 4 and 5 May 2024, on the Feast of the Resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ, His Holiness Serbian Patriarch kyr Porfirije served the Paschal Matins and the Holy Hierarchical Liturgy at the church of Saint Sava on Vračar.

Concelebrating with His Holiness the Patriarch there were: Archimandrite Nektarije, the Chief Secretary of the Holy Synod of Bishops; Archimandrite Danilo, Director of the Patriarchal Administrative Office; Protopresbyters-Stavrophors Vladimir Vukašinović and Dimitrije Kasapis; Protopresbyter Đorđe Stojisavljević, Head of the Office of the Serbian Patriarch; Protopresbyter Zoran Ranković, Dean of the Faculty of Orthodox Theology in Belgrade; Protopresbyters Nenad Jovanović and Dragan Šovljanski; as well as Protodeacons Dragan Radić and Radomir Vrućinić.

Several thousand faithful took prayerful part in the festive Eucharistic gathering, many of whom approached the holy sacrament of Communion. During the Holy Liturgy, this year's Paschal Encyclical of Serbian Patriarch Porfirije and the Hierarchs of the homeland was read. At the end, His Holiness the Patriarch congratulated everyone on the holiday with the ancient greeting: Christ is risen!, wishing that we all become better and resurrect as a nation together with the Resurrected Christ.

Besides others, the Paschal Liturgy was attended by: Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Internal Affairs Mr. Ivica Dačić, Minister of Justice Ms. Maja Popović, Minister of Construction, Transport, and Infrastructure Mr. Goran Vesić, Minister of Mining and Energy Ms. Dubravka Đedović Handanović, Archbishop and Metropolitan of Belgrade Ladislav Nemet, Crown Prince Filip Karađorđević, and Director of the Administration for Cooperation with Churches and Religious Communities Dr. Vladimir Roganović.
