On 27 April 2024, the Lazarus Saturday, His Holiness Serbian Patriarch kyr Porfirije served the holy hierarchal Liturgy at the church of Saint Sava on Vračar.

– We are powerless before death and in death, but we are certainly powerful in what precedes death – we have our life in our hands that leads and passes through death. We have the choice to opt for Christ, and if we choose Him, as Lazarus the Four Days Dead did, then all we have is solely in God's hands, and then the Lord no longer asks us: Do you want to or not? but simply says: Rise!
