On 4 May 2024, His Holiness Serbian Patriarch kyr Porfirije received the newly elected Prime Minister of the Republic of Serbia Mr. Miloš Vučević at the Patriarchal See in Belgrade.

The Head of the Serbian Orthodox Church blessed the work of the new Serbian Prime Minister for the good of all citizens. Presenting him with an icon of the first Serbian Archbishop, the spiritual leader of Orthodox Serbs conveyed that Saint Sava epitomizes selfless work for national unity, which is very much needed today, with respect and regard for all legitimate differences. Prime Minister Vučević expressed joy that the first official meeting at the office of the Prime Minister of Serbia, on the eve of the greatest and most joyous Christian Feast, the Resurrection of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, was precisely with His Holiness Patriarch Porfirije.
