On the basis of Article 59 of the Constitution of the Serbian Orthodox Church, the Holy Synod of Bishops of the Serbian Orthodox Church has convocated the Holy Assembly of Bishops for its regular meeting, which will solemnly commence on 14 May 2024, through the conciliar Holy Liturgy and Invocation of the Holy Spirit in the Church of the Holy Apostles in the Stavropegial Lavra of the Patriarchate of Peć.

The working session of the highest hierarchical, ecclesiastical-legislative, and ecclesiastical-judicial body of the Serbian Orthodox Church, under the presidency of His Holiness Serbian Patriarch kyr Porfirije, and with the participation of Their Eminences and Their Graces Diocesan Hierarchs, will commence the following day, 15 May 2024, in the crypt of the Memorial Church of Saint Sava on Vračar.

According to the procedure prescribed by the Rules of Procedure, the meeting begins with the adoption of the agenda consisting of the items submitted by the Holy Synod of Bishops, followed by the consideration of reports on the pastoral work of all Diocesan Hierarchs, central ecclesiastical bodies, organs, and institutions. At the end of the meeting, the Assembly will issue a public statement regarding its work.
